The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) (earlier known as GAZT) is the tax regulating authority in Saudi Arabia (SA). It announced that e-invoicing applicable taxpayers must onboard e-Invoice Generation Solution (EGS) their with Fatoora portal to generate e-invoices.

ZATCA notified the eighth wave under phase 2 of Saudi e-invoicing. Accordingly, KSA businesses registered under VAT having more than SAR 40 million during 2021 or 2022 fall under wave 8 under phase 2. They must integrate their ERP/POS with ZATCA's Fatoora portal starting 1st March 2024.

ZATCA notified the seventh wave under phase 2 of Saudi e-invoicing. It stated that VAT-registered businesses with more than SAR 50 million during 2021 or 2022 fall under wave 7 under phase 2. They must integrate their ERP/POS with ZATCA's Fatoora portal starting 1st February 2024.

ZATCA notified the sixth wave under phase 2 of Saudi e-invoicing. It stated that businesses registered under KSA VAT with more than SAR 70 million during 2021 or 2022 fall under wave 6 under phase 2 of e-invoicing. You don’t have to integrate with ZATCA to comply with phase I of e-invoicing. However, to comply with phase II e-invoicing, you need to onboard their EGS and integrate their systems with a dedicated portal provided by ZATCA.
Accordingly, ZATCA developed the Fatoora portal so taxpayers can onboard their EGS units by generating a new Cryptographic Stamp Identifier (CSID) or renewing the existing CSIDs. Also, taxpayers can use the fatoora portal to revoke the CSIDs and view the list of onboarded solutions and devices.

You can view a list that includes a summary of all EGS units onboarded on the Fatoora portal. Also, you can filter, sort and search based on specific inputs available in the list of EGS units and devices.
